保存條件 Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins some of which have been implicated in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. Annexin 5 is a phospholipase A2 and protein kinase C inhibitory protein with calcium channel activity and a potential role in cellular signal transduction, inflammation, growth and differentiation. Annexin 5 has also been described as placental anticoagulant protein I, vascular anticoagulant-alpha, endonexin II, lipocortin V, placental protein 4 and anchorin CII. The gene spans 29 kb containing 13 exons, and encodes a single transcript of approximay 1.6 kb and a protein product with a molecular weight of about 35 kDa. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008].

Function:
This protein is an anticoagulant protein that acts as an indirect inhibitor of the thromboplastin-specific complex, which is involved in the blood coagulation cascade.

Subunit:
Monomer. Binds ATRX and EIF5B. Interacts with hepatitis B virus (HBV).

DISEASE:
Defects in ANXA5 are associated with susceptibility to pregnancy loss, recurrent, type 3 (RPRGL3) [MIM:614391]. A common complication of pregnancy, resulting in spontaneous abortion before the fetus has reached viability. The term includes all miscarriages from the time of conception until 24 weeks of gestation. Recurrent pregnancy loss is defined as 3 or more consecutive spontaneous abortions.

膜粘連蛋白-5是一種分子量為35～36KD的Ca2+依賴性磷脂結(jié)合蛋白，能與PS高親和力特異性結(jié)合。
將膜粘連蛋白5進行熒光素（FITC、PE）或biotin標記，以標記了的Annexin-V作為熒光探針，利用流式細胞儀或熒光顯微鏡可檢測細胞凋亡的發(fā)生。
其意義：檢測早期凋亡的細胞，同時可區(qū)分活細胞和壞死細胞
磷脂酰*（Phosphatidylserine，PS）正常位于細胞膜的內(nèi)側(cè)，但在細胞凋亡的早期，PS可從細胞膜的內(nèi)側(cè)翻轉(zhuǎn)到細胞膜的表面，暴露在細胞外環(huán)境中。
碘化丙啶（propidine iodide，PI）是一種核酸染料，它不能透過完整的細胞膜，但在凋亡中晚期的細胞和死細胞，PI能夠透過細胞膜而使細胞核紅染。因此將Annexin-V與PI匹配使用，就可以將凋亡早晚期的細胞以及死細胞區(qū)分開來。
