儲(chǔ) 存 液 0.01M TBS(pH7.4) with 1% BSA, 0.03% Proclin300 and 50% Glycerol.
保存條件 Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

Apoptosis inhibitor 5 (API5) is an antiapoptotic factor which may have a role in protein assembly. API5 expression is often upregulated in tumor cells, particularly in metastatic cells. It is a critical determinant of E2F1-induced apoptosis, acting downstream of E2F to suppress E2F-dependent apoptosis without generally blocking E2F-dependent transcription. Alternate Names: AAC 11; AAC11; Antiapoptosis clone 11 protein; API 5; API5; API5 like 1; API5L1; Cell migration inducing gene 8 protein; Fibroblast growth factor 2 interacting factor 2; FIF; MIG 8; MIG8; Migration inducing protein MIG8; Protein XAGL.

Function:
Antiapoptotic factor that may have a role in protein assembly. Negatively regulates ACIN1. By binding to ACIN1, it suppresses ACIN1 cleavage from CASP3 and ACIN1-mediated DNA fragmentation. Also known to efficiently suppress E2F1-induced apoptosis. Its depletion enhances the cytotoxic action of the chemotherapeutic drugs.

Subunit:
Monomer. Interacts with FGF2 and ACIN1.

Subcellular Location:
Nucleus. Cytoplasm. Note=Mainly nuclear. Can also be cytoplasmic.
Isoform 3: Cytoplasm.

Tissue Specificity:
Expressed in all tissues tested, including heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas. Highest levels in heart, pancreas and placenta. Highly expressed in several cancers. Preferentially expressed in squamous cell carcinoma versus adenocarcinoma in non-small cell lung cancer.

Post-translational modifications:
Acetylation at Lys-251 impairs antiapoptotic function.

Similarity:
Belongs to the API5 family.
